Message from Vered Harel
My name is Vered Harel and I’m the Executive Director of the Australian Friends of Rambam. Most of you know me as a singer.
I’ve been singing for the past 9 years here in Melbourne and around Australia and I love bringing joy and making people feel good about themselves.
For those of you who don’t know, my other passion is making a difference in people’s lives by supporting the Rambam Health Care Campus in the north of Israel which is a start up hospital leading in many medical advancements, even here in conjunction with leading institution in Australia, including the Monash Hospital.
I thrive on creating communities that collaborate with each other to maximise benefits by connecting people who are otherwise not connected for mutual gain.
Breakthrough in research, training and mentoring, fellowship programs, sharing knowledge in medical technologies and innovations are beneficial both to Israel and Australia. We would like to create more and more of these collaborations and this will be possible with your support.
The biggest primal need of people is to belong. I would like to build a community of people with similar goals and direction where we can all help each other. I might know people you don’t and vice versa.
You might not be able to support my charity directly but you may know people I don’t know who may love to, and you might have a cause where I may know people who will support your cause.
I want to make a difference in the world and leave a legacy and I’m inviting you to join my journey and do the same!
Imagine this scenario - another rocket attack and children get injured; doctors need a safe space to treat the injured as their lives are important to the next generation of Israel.
The purpose of this short video is to raise your awareness to the vital importance of having critical equipment in the Underground Hospital in the north of Israel.
I invite you, plus one, to join us at the upcoming event to share with you why it is so important now to provide much needed critical equipment in the Sammy Offer underground Hospital, especially during this volatile time.
At this event we’ve invited the General Director of Rambam Health Care Campus Dr. Michael Halberthal who will share his experience why Rambam is vital to Israeli’s health now and wellbeing into the future. Whether war injuries, trauma and intensive Care, Oncology, paediatric care, heart health, humanitarian aid and more, these services are critical to a sustainable future.
His excellency the Israeli Ambassador to Australia Mr. Mark Sofer will share his insights about Israel’s Homefront and boarder security risks and how Rambam plays an important role in Israel’s security. Professor Jeffrey Rosenfeld will share his experience with the Australian army and the important link between medical Care here and in Israel.
11 couples will buy a much needed bed to save another life!
