Rambam’s Purchasing Department Surprise Daycare Center to Start the New School Year
September 12, 2022 -Green plants, synthetic grass, and colorful tires are all part of a new playground established by the Purchasing Department staff of Rambam Health Care Campus for the Alvin Network’s Einav Daycare Center for Children with Special Needs in Kiryat Bialik – a suburb of Haifa.
From time to time, the staff of Rambam’s Purchasing Department implement community outreach activities unrelated to their professions. This year, the department furthered their vision by planting a garden at the Alvin Network Daycare Center in Kiryat Bialik for children with special needs.
The team recruited resources and assistance from people, both inside and outside the hospital, who were delighted to be part of the project. Everyone was committed to the goal of establishing a beautiful garden for children with special needs – providing them with a new, beautiful, colorful, and alluring activity area that would put smiles on all their faces.
Ms. Liat Ben-Yitzhak Getz, Esq., Director of Rambam’s Purchasing Department explains, “Integral to my management concept is conveying to the staff how important workplace giving is to me, and that giving should also be integrated into their own work schedule. In fact, the Purchasing Department sees itself as an emissary for Rambam, which is first and foremost committed to saving lives. This is important at both the individual and the organizational levels, for both for the givers and the receivers, in reciprocity and reciprocation.”
Liat shares that the donations for the restoration project came from the staff and their relatives, none of whom had any prior connection to the daycare center.
