The Rare Case of Bat El Abutbul and her Battle Against COVID‑19
September 9, 2021 – Thanks to medical teams at Rambam Health Care Campus, COVID-19 patient Bat El Abutbul successfully gave birth to a healthy baby.
Bat El Abutbul was 25 weeks pregnant when she was hospitalized in the northern Israeli city of Afula with COVID-19 symptoms. When Bat El’s condition continued to deteriorate, she was transferred to Rambam Health Care Campus, where her medical teams worked hard to treat Bat El and ensure that her unborn baby remained stable. Despite numerous obstacles and complications, Bat El gave birth to a healthy baby in the COVID-19 treatment facility located in the Sammy Ofer Fortified Underground Emergency Hospital.
