The Joseph Fishman Oncology Center will offer comprehensive cancer treatments, including linear accelerated chemotherapy, radiotherapy, and brachytherapy, complementary medicine, and outreach programs for prevention and early detection of cancer.
Made possible through the generous donation of Joseph Fishman (Z"L) and his family, this new oncology center opened its doors on June 30, 2016. The Joseph Fishman Oncology Center was built to provide our cancer patients with state-of the art compassionate and professional care. Rambam believes in taking an aggressive stand against cancer. Traditional, complementary, and alternative medical treatments will eventually be available. Laboratories dedicated to oncological research will bring hope to our patients in the here and now. Other facilities will be dedicated to cancer prevention and detection outreach. After all, while we may be focused on treating disease, we would much rather prevent it!
Currently, all but three floors have been filled, with patients expressing gratitude and awe at the comfort and beauty of the new facility. The new and spacious facility is definitely having a positive impact on cancer care in Norther Israel. However, three floors remain unfinished...
Current Needs Due to lack of funding, patients must still receive radiation therapy in a different building; this requires walking outside to get to the current location of Rambam's raditiona therapy equipment. Your donation is urgently needed to facilitate comprehensive provision of cancer therapies and treatments in one central location, conveniently accessible to patients and their families. We urgently need donations for entire floors, departments, and medical and imaging equipment, specialized treatment rooms (including a linear accelerator bunker), offices, room, patient beds, and more are greatly needed for the following cancer treatment specialties:
Clinical Cancer Research
Digestive System and Uro-Oncology
Head and Neck Cancer
